Kwese Sports, SuperSport land Uefa Euro 2020 rights

Econet Media’s Kwese Sports and Multichoice’s SuperSport have landed the rights to the UEFA Euro 2020 finals.

The rights will include UEFA Euro 2020 Championship as well as the UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifiers and the European qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The all-new UEFA Nations League, a new competition to be contested by the national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA, has also been assigned to the companies.

The rights are for exclusive broadcast in South Africa for SuperSport and non-exclusive in the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa and the adjacent islands.

The two African channels have also got rights to the 2018 World Cup finals.
