Zimbabwe kept their hopes of a knock-out appearance in the Cosafa Women’s Championship with an emphatic 3-0 win over Lesotho at Gqenerha on Sunday.

After their loss on matchday one, the Mighty Warriors could not afford to slip up in a group with only three teams.

Alice Moyo missed a penalty in the first half.

Ethel Chinyerere scored a brace on either side of a Christabell Katona to get the win.

Zimbabwe must now wait for the result between Lesotho and Mozambique in the group decider to know if they will progress to the knock-out phase, according to COSAFA.

Elsewhere, former Zimbabwe men’s senior national team head coach Zdravko Logarušić returned to haunt the Warriors, slapping them 3-0 in CHAN Qualifier first leg in Botswana.
