Dembare, Bosso, FC Platinum, Ngezi out of Chibuku Super Cup

Holders Ngezi are among a number of big teams out of this year’s Chibuku Super Cup after the first round of matches.

They were knocked out after losing 1-0 to Caps United, the goal coming from Moses Muchenje in the 30th minute.

A big shock was Bulawayo City comin from a goal down to beat giants Dynamos 2-1. Christina Epoupa gave Dembare the lead. Sipho Ndlovu and Zephaniah Ngodzo won the match in the second half for Bulawayo City.

In another shocker Highlanders were knocked out by Harare City going down 2-1. Wiliam Manondo opened the scoring and then Grey Mufandanda doubled the lead. There was a weird situation when the match was stopped for a bit as Highlanders fans beat up City supporters.

Shabanie Mine visited ZPC Kariba and claimed their heads with Farai Mupasiri scoring in a 1-0 victory.

How Mine were 2-0 victors over Bantu Rovers.

On Saturday, FC Platinum missed a penalty and lost 1-0 to Chapungu. Brighton Mugoni with the solitary goal.

Black Rhinos were 2-1 victors in their tie against Triangle United.

In the farce of the weekend Chicken Inn walked off the pitch in protest against a penalty decision in favour of Yadah FC. Ridiculous if you ask us.
