King Goodwill Zwelithini has accused the media of twisting his words as he came out denouncing xenophobia.

The Zulu king says his outcry was against destruction of property was blown out of proportion.

He was quoted in the media as having said foreigners should be kicked out of the country. Xenophobic violence in Durban which falls under him has since reared its ridiculously ugly head. IFP leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi said the notion that this violence were because of the king’s purported words was utter bollocks. maybe not that phrase but the same thing all the same.

Now he says greed, tribalism and xenophobia are the three evils in his society. We agree.

If the media is being naughty then that sucks. Like proper sucks.

But blaming the media for the attacks is like, you know, weird.

Now, the question is, will his people believe him?
