SA Prosecutors To Appeal Oscar Pistorius Verdict, Sentencing

South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority has announced it will appeal both sentence and verdict in the case involving paralympian Oscar Pistorius.

Pistorius was found guilty of culpable homicide and sentenced to five years in jail.

Nathi Mncube, the NPA’s spokesperson  says the appeal is based on ‘question of law’ and all that is left now is for papers to filed in court.

The ANC Women’s League which had immediately rejected both verdict and sentencing welcomed the decision saying that a different court would have come up with a different finding.

Meanwhile it has been reported that the double amputee is now broke. His lawyers have been working for free for the last two months and they are still owed about R10 million.

It is what it is. Like it’s about to get real.
