Congolese soukous star Koffi Olomide has been deported from Kenya after an incident in which he assaulted a dancer at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Friday, according to reports from the east African couutry.
The incident was caught on camera and caused outrage among Kenyans.
The presidency, Ministry of Public Service, Young and Gender Affairs and office of the Cabinet secretary released a statement in which it expressed its dismay following the assault incident.
The statement recommended that his visa be permanently revoked. The artist was arrested on Friday and spent the night in jail. He was then deported on Saturday morning, according to Daily Nation.
