It’s a shame that we’ve missed some of his previous works such as Vakafa Vakazorora, Sekutamba Sekuseka and Tafadzwa, but we are glad to get our hands on this record. It’s one of those songs that kicks a hole in your sternum.
Musiye Akadaro (leave him/her alone) is essentially an anthem about overcoming the lows of life and accepting who we are regardless of what the society labels us as. The record carries four overarching stories that we can relate to. A despicable job, a hardly favoured girl, an unready man whose girl has just eloped and finally, a pregnant girl who’s contemplating on either abortion or facing rejection. All touching.
It is a tight-knit single that preaches hope and positivity to those desperately in need of it.Most importantly it proves that Meister can handle conceptual subject matter very well, while keeping people fixated with qoutables. It’s a record that is bathed in skilled storytelling, proficient seamed lyricism and a sturdy production -this one goes to Casper and Gee Beatz.Dope track.
