Zimbabwe now has only ONE stadium approved by CAF for football matches

Unbloody-believable.

Zimbabwe now has only one football stadium authorised to host CAF matches.

The National Sports and Mandava stadiums have all been deemed unfit after inspection to host CAF-sanctioned matches. Only Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo has that status.

The Zimbabwe Football Association which rarely updates via social media or website these days confirmed the news on Twitter:

Following CAF stadium inspections last month, Mandava stadium and NSS failed to meet minimum requirements to host CAF matches . Consequently, they have been removed from the list of homologated stadiums. CAF have also exceptionally authorised BF to host CAF matches.

Now cop this. Remember when Zimbabwe hosted Botswana the other day and Barbourfields was deemed unfit because of the lighting issue.

Under such circumstances, it could become a reality that Zimbabwe plays all its international matches away from home.

And knowing our lot, noone will treat this as an emergency and come the next international window, petitions, tweets, monologues and so forth.

Nothing else.
