Mary-Anne Musonda put on a captain’s knock top-scoring with 60 in Zimbabwe’s 57-run win over Namibia in the third match of the the Namib Desert Women’s T20 Challenge at the Sparta Oval in Walvis Bay.
Her knock came off 49 balls with nine boundaries. Moderster Mupachikwa and Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano chipped in with 22 and 23 respectively as Zimbabwe amassed 136/8 from their 20 overs.
Namibia never really got going, losing wickets at regular intervals. Nomvelo Sibanda took 2-14 while Nomatter Mutasa 2-19.
The win means Zimbabwe’s women take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series.
