Zimbabwe’s Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) has announced that fans will be allowed into all sporting activity.
In a statement, the sports apex body said stadia would be allowed up to 30% capacity in terms of fans watching. In instances where the event was not happening in a stadium but in an approved sporting space, up to 250 people were allowed.
All fans must be fully vaccinated and must present their certificate at entry points. What is more, all fans attending must have their names on a nomination list in order to enter stadia. If their names are not on the list, they may not enter.
Advance tickets will therefore be the easiest way to go. How those are priced will be interesting, given how football fans reacted to the prohibitive pricing this past weekend, in the Chibuku Cup.
Matches will be still take place in bio-secure bubbles.
