Zim PSL suspends all matches after crowd violence

The Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League has been suspended after another spate of crowd violence rocked the game this weekend.

The match between Dynamos and Highlanders had to be abandoned after fans of both teams invaded the pitch. It is the second match involving the Bulawayo side abandoned this year, over crowd trouble.

The league says that it will hold a meeting this Friday 20 May 2022 involving Zimbabwe Republic Police, Club Security Officials and Marshals as well stadium owners.

The league has requested reports from the cops, Highlanders and Dynamos over the unseemly behaviour on Sunday.

The league also apologised to fans, sponsors and stakeholders.

The suspension is until further notice.
