Zim PSL matchday 28 roundup: Platinum sides press advantage as rivals falter

FC Platinum and Ngezi Platinum took full advantage of their rivals’s slip up as they claimed wins on matchday 28 of the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

After Chicken Inn could only draw with Shabanie Mine and Dynamos only able to come away with a point against C Kariba.

Qadr Amin’s long range strike helped Ngezi take full advantage of this with a 1-0 win over Bulawayo City.

The mic was handed over to FC Platinum and it looked bleak when they conceded to Simon Munawa mid way through the first half. Mkhokheli Dube then took advantage of a mistake as he latched onto a pass to fire into the roof of the net. Ali Sadiki’s long range grass cutter with 11 minutes to go completed the come back.

Both sides are now just a point behind Dynamos with five matchdays to go.

Meanwhile Bantu Rovers became the first team to get relegated this season as tey were handed a 5-0 hiding by Harare City.
