Zimbabwe seam bowler Richard Ngarava faces a late fitness test, as he races to be fit for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, Super 12 match against Pakistan on Thursday.

Speaking to the media, captain Craig Ervine having been asked on his status said, “I think he’s doing all right. We obviously had a travel day yesterday. We had most of today to recover.”

On whether he would be ready to play on Thursday, Ervine responded, “We have got a training session this evening, and we’ll see how he warms up this evening. But again, even after today’s training session, the game only starts at seven tomorrow. It’s quite a bit of time for him to recover and hopefully it’s not too serious.”

As for his options, the Zimbabwe skipper says, “That would obviously be a straight swap, seamer for seamer. We’ll have to look at a few different combinations and probably take it from there.”
