Public Relations and Media Manager Darlington Majonga said matches would have resumed already were it not for the holidays:

According to our original domestic cricket schedule, the Logan Cup second round was penciled in to start on the 5th of January, but the fixtures have been postponed to a date we will announce once the provincial contracts misunderstanding that disrupted play in the opening round has been resolved. So we will be releasing a new schedule soon.

Bulawayo Metropolitan Tuskers were forced to forfeit their second innings in the match against Midlands Rhinos after players refused to take to the field over contract disputes.

With no international cricket confirmed until at least June the tournament is the much needed game time players will be craving for. It keeps them in nick and while the level is not quite international, the only way one can develop is at the crease.
