Liam O’Hara breaks Open 100m & 200m Breaststroke Short Course Record

Young Zimbabwean swimmer Liam O’Harare broke the record for the Open 100m and 200m Breaststorke Short Course Record.

The announcement was made by SwimZim on their website:

Liam, Head boy of Falcon College, is competing at the South African Short Course gala in Pietermaritzburg in preparation for the World Junior Championships in Budapest later this month. Tonight [9 August 2019] he broke the 100m breaststroke record of 1.01.93 held by James Lawson, setting the new record at 1.01.46.

A few days later, O’hara bagged another record

More congratulations for Liam O Hara from Pietermatitzburg. Today [11 August 2019] he broke the 200m Breaststroke record previous held by Tim Ferris since 2010. Liam will be leaving for Budapest and the World Junior Championships next week, competition begins on the 20th August 2019.
