Zimbabwe batsman Brendan Taylor is out of the Pakistan Super League and will not represent his Lahore Qalandars side.
Taylor was injured during Qalandars’ chase against Multan Sultans on Friday evening. He was immediately taken off the field and he didn’t return to bat.
Sources, according to geo.tv reveal that Taylor has a calf muscle tear which is likely to keep him out for four to six weeks. Subsequently, he has been ruled out of the remainder of PSL games.
Qalandars management says that it has not sought a replacement as the team already has six foreign players.
The injury will have the Zimbabwe selectors sweating with tours by Afghanistan and UAE set for April for a total of nine ODIs. He was the highest scorer in ODIs for his country in 2018.
