PM Tsvangirai’s Love Life Becoming A Soap Opera

Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai must think that the world has gone a bit mad. In something that could easily come out of the script of a Hollywood or South African soap his love life has become the kind of drama that few can handle.

It all started off with the sad and unfortunate death of his wife Susan in an accident.

After that he was linked with a string of women, with some claiming paternity. Then there were allegations of him getting some Bulawayo woman to abort his baby. None of this was corroborated.

Then last year, he married – or didn’t marry –  a woman, Locardiah Karimatsenga and the dumped because there was political engineering. People were ready to believe this in some way because she was linked to ZANU-PF. This woman was by the way said to be pregnant with his twins. He later confirmed this when he was dumping her.

Then last week the PM got engaged. This woman, Elizabeth Macheka is now even closer to ZANU-PF than the other one. Her father is in the ZANU-PF Central Committee which is pretty high. No sign of political engineering there.

But then the Karimatsenga family, according to The Herald,  are saying that they still view the PM as their son-in-law. Even more startling is the revlation by Radio VOP that the Karimatsenga woman may have had a miscarriage. The miscarriage is said to be “due to stress”.

Now we know that the average mfesi will tell a lot about much they had to go through with that one crazy girl they dated but this is a bit much.

No wonder his handlers are quiet. They say if you kick every dog that barks at you, you won’t get anywhere. Although, you would think they would control the information better.

What will happen next? Feels like something is going to go down, doesn’t it?
