Kenyatta declared winner in Kenyan elections

The incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta has won the 2017 president elections in Kenya.

He was declared winner in 2017 presidential election garnering 8,203,290 (54.27pc) votes against Raila Odinga’s 6,762,224 44.74pc).

The declaration was made by the country’s Independent Electoral & Bounderies Commision om Friday evening.

Odinga who led the National Super Alliance (NASA) earlier this week claimed that the IT systems for the election were hacked, something denied by the IECB.

There have been clashes already raising fear of the kind of violence from 2007 which left 1,100 dead.
