Former Zanu-PF MP Dexter Taona Nduna (53) has been denied bail after appearing before the Chequtu Maqstrates’ Court on fraud charges, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is reporting.
The state alleged that sometime this month, Nduna misrepresented to two motorists that he was collecting parking fees on behalf of the Municipality of Chegutu.
A Police report was made, leading to his arrest.
He will appear in court on the 29th of October 2024.
Nduna is no stranger to controversy and recently claimed he had graduated from the University of Zimbabwe, yet he hadn’t. To give credence to the ruse, he took pictures of himself in a graduation gown with other students.
Just last week, he was forced to pull down an X post in which he claimed that Team Chapter, a group with which he is associated, had taken over Harare parking operations.
