Mugabe will be buried in ‘about 30 days’ – family spokesperson

So there will be no burial of the former Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe for up to 30 days, family spokesperson Leo Mugabe has said.

That means the event that was supposed to take place on Sunday will now not happen.

He said, addressing mourners at the former president’s ‘Blue Roof’ residence:

The chiefs and the government went to the National Heroes Acre. They showed each other where President Mugabe is going to be buried and that place will take about 30 days to complete. So what that means is that the burial will take that long.

Meanwhile, the body will go to Zvimba on Sunday for traditional funeral proceedings.
