Chitungwiza woman forges O Level results to get into ZRP

An 18-year-old Chitungwiza woman was caught trying to enter the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) with false qualifications, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is reporting.

Shamiso Pretty Bvukure (18) of Murisa Park Unity O Chitungwiza was arraigned before the Harare Magistrates’ Court for contravening the Zimbabwe Examination Act.

It is the state’s case that on the 11th of October 2024, the Police General Headquarters recruiting section requested verification of the ZIMSEC results of several applicants. Bvukure’s results slip was forged, and the following subjects were altered:

  • Mathematics from U to C
  • English Language from U to B,
  • Shona Language from E to A and
  • History from U to A and
  • Combined science and Commerce were added to the slip.

Bvukure was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, of which six months was suspended for five years. The remaining six months were suspended on condition that she perform 210 hours of community service.
