The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have provided an update on the Chadcombe Robbery in which three suspects were shot dead by the owner of the house, formerCriminal Investigation Department (CID) Joseph Nemaisa.
So it turns out that the robbery on 6 December 2021, was a case of going to the wrong house.
Investigations have revealed that the Nemaisa household was the wrong target as Shine Tamuka Nymhunga had given his accomplices some information on some cash transactions at a company he was employed.
“He told his accomplices that the money is kept at his employer’s house,” the ZRP statement read. “The employer stays about four to five houses away from Nemaisa’s residence.”
Cops say the attack on Nemaisa’s house was a case of mistaken identity or target. They say Nyamhunga was in constant touch with one of the slain robbers Tariro Gora with a view to having his employer targeted.
