Foods you should eat during a heatwave

Zimbabwe is dealing with an insane heatwave and the big question is other than sitting inside a fridge, what should you do?

Well, it is down to what you eat really and we have some food you should eat.

Here we go:

  1. Cucumbers: They are 95% water so that makes sense easily.
  2. Brocolli: Yes, it is something we hate but it is 91% water and a smart carb. So it makes sense.
  3. Chilli pepper: Eating them will enhancing circulation and causing you to sweat, which cools the body down
  4. Tomato: Tomatoes are 93-94% water and so that makes a lot of sense. Have them in a salad or a sandwich. Or just bite into them.
  5. Leafy greens: Dark leafy greens are 80-95% water which means they digest easily. The cooling sensation is always welcome.
  6. Melons: Melon is low in calories and high in water content (95 per cent), making it an extremely cooling bite to eat.
