The Minister of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment Saviour Kasukuwere has dismissed as fiction, talk of a second capital city.
Through a Twitter account attributed to him, he responded to a question by a Peter Mushangwe by pretty much nothing of that nature was going to happen.
Talk has been that we are about to move the capital city to Mt Hampden where the new houses of parliament are set to be built. This came after Local Government minister Igantius Chombo reportedly said that plans were afoot to do so saying that the original capital was meant to be built there.
This caused a lot of uproar among Zimbabweans across the divide with many saying that this showed a serious lack of priorities on the part of elements in the inclusive government.
So that should put that matter to bed… until someone calls Kasukuwere’s comments rubbish of course.
You know this one has got legs.
