It seems as if th state is running fast out of ideas after it was reported that it was failing to set a trial date for murder-accused Star FM DJ Munyaradzi Milimo.
The Zimbabwean reported that the state wanted the case to be postponed to 3 March.
Magistrate Ndirowei granted the defence an application to relaxed bail conditions on Taurai Janhi and Mohamed Matare with the former having his travel documents returned to him as he relied on cross-border trading. Milimo and his co-accused will now only be required to report to the police once month.
The state’s case is that Milimo and his co-accused abducted and subsequently killed Tich Magorimbo in May last year a charge they deny.
As it stands it looks as if the state is either stalling and looking for a break or the case has fallen apart. These things need smoking guns you know.
