Or it is possible that you were at an all nighter where there was wine and someone wanted to spice things up as an excuse to kiss some other person in the group. The rules were explained but you were too high so you now have a party and everyone is feeling like nodding off, or heading over to who knows where?

So here are the rules…

Choose friends

You will end up sharing potentially embarrassing things about yourself and it is best done with friends who you trust. Also you could decide to play it with just one person. If it is more  than 3 everyone must know  basic details about each other. And include boys and girls. Unless…

Everyone should be comfortable with the game

Fully explain the rules and make sure everyone is happy to expose themselves. And all should understand that the game is just fun and noone should take the truth or dares personally.

Have some truths or dares ready

You don’t want to start thinking of a truth or dare when it is time to do so. The more quickfire it goes, the more fun it is for everyone.

And now the rules

General truth or dare rules according to truthdarequestions.com:

  • You can not change a dare to the truth once selected and vice versa.
  • Do not lie when you choose the truth.
  • No matter how embarrassing the dare was, you have to play it.
  • Decide whether dirty truths and dirty dares are allowed in the game.
  • Can participant involve the people who are not into the game while saying a dare?
  • How to choose the participant? In an order or spinning a bottle?
  • Decide the maximum time to complete the dare or truth.
  • How to deal if a participant intentionally lied to a truth question?
  • If someone decided to step out of the game to skip a dare/truth, they should be punished harmlessly. Like paying a fine of $5 or touching everyone’s feet before leaving.

Then play

That is all.
