A 43 year old woman from Shurugwi was brought before the Shurugwi Magistrates’ Court facing allegations of contravening the Domestic ViolenceAct in that she physically abused her husband, the National Prosecuting Authority is reporting.
The allegations
The brief facts presented are that on the 4th of May 2024, the accused person allegedly poured hot cooking oil on her husband’s face and back whilst he was sleeping following a misunderstanding.
He suffered severe burns on his face and back.
What now?
The woman was remanded in custody to the 14th of May 2024.
