A 34-year-old man from Inyathi, Winter Nyathi, has been sentenced to 24 months in prison for burning down the kitchen hut of another man, Mbuso Sibanda.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the incident occurred on February 7, 2024, at around 11:30 PM. Nyathi allegedly set Sibanda’s kitchen hut on fire while Sibanda was asleep in his bedroom. The fire caused damages estimated at US$1,019.
