Nakamba’s Aston Villa manager fired

Aston Villa have fired their Manager Dean Smith.

Smith was the man who signed Zimbabwe international Marvelous Nakamba.

Smith, 50, leaves following the 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Friday. Nakamba featured from the start ain that match.

It was their fifth league defeat in a row, leaving 15th and only three points above the drop zone.

Nakamba will know who his next gaffer while he is on national duty for Zimbabwe this week and the one after. He was named in interim coach Norman Mapeza’s side for the dead rubber Fifa World Cup matches against Ethiopia and South Africa.
