New Afcon finals dates announced

The Confederation of African Football has announced new dates for this year’s continental showpiece in Egypt.

The Africa Cup of Nations will now begin on the 21st of June instead of the 14th. The finals will run to 19 July.

The decision was made to accommodate the Ramadan and the Eid Al-Fitr holidays.

The draw for the finals will be held on 12 April 2019.
