WATCH: The ‘reverse colonisation’ Chicken Licken that has been banned from TV

So an ad that creates a narrative around reverse colonisation has been struck off TV in South Africa.

Critics say it makes light of the actual struggles of colonisation by depicting a reverse colonisation story in which Big Mjohnana leaves his village in 1650 on a boat to satisfy his hunger for adventure.

He then happens on a couple of white people and claims the land, calling it Europe.

Chicken Licken says it shows that South Africans can ‘rewrite African history and conquer the world’.

But the 1650 though…

Anyway the Advertising Regulatory Board (ARB) has struck it off.

Watch it and share your thoughts…
