As expected, Zimbabwe’s senate has passed the Constitutional Bill with minor amendments.
The bill was introduced on Tuesday after going through the lower house last week.
All 75 of the senators present voted in favour of the new constitution. Zimbabweans voted overwhelmingly in favour of it in a referendum in March.
It now awaits the president’s signature after which work it will be done to align laws with new constitution.
