WhatsApp drops $1 charge… Experiments with businesses

The world’s biggest social messaging application WhatsApp has announced that the $1 charge has been dropped.

Until now, users would get a year free and then have to pay $1 a year for access.

So all users will get it for free but it is now experimenting with how to make it easier for businesses to interact with the customers on the platform.

We’re wondering how that is gonna work? Bulk messaging for a fee? WhatsApp was fun because it was never corporates advertising directly but now this… well if something is for free… then well it comes with certain offsets.

Mind you, people are already spamming us with adverts for their gigs.
