The National Arts Merits Awards People’s Choice category’s voting details have been made available by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe.
Zimbojam quoted the Communications and Marketing Officer, Cathrine Mthombeni of the NACZ as saying:
As the name suggests the People’s Choice Award is given to an individual or institution that would have received the most votes from members of the public. The public is at liberty to select an artist of their choice from the NAMA categories of Music, Literary Arts, Dance, Visual Arts, Film and Television, Theatre and Spoken Word. Voting will run until the awards night in Bulawayo on 15 February 2014
Voting is open across all cellular networks on short code 39436. To vote one types nama # name of artist and send to that number.
So get voting for your favourite artist then.
Nominees for all categories will be announced on Wednesday 5 February.
