You can now receive money from PayPal directly into your EcoCash

Big move. Boss move actually.

EcoCash has confirmed that you can receive money straight into your EcoCash Foreign Currency Account(FCA) wallet from popular payment system PayPal.

A Twitter user asked the company, “So @EcoCashZW , you can now confirm that it’s now possible to receive money into our Ecocash FCA wallets from @PayPal? We’ve heard the rumours.”

It responded, “Hi @ZimBrandPromo. Please note it is true, you can receive money into your FCA from Paypal.”

One will be able to to cash out funds at an Econet shop once they hit the FCA.’

This is a big deal because of the limitations which come with a PayPal account. There are restrictions for many people in Zimbabwe because of the country’s sanctioned status.

For most, a debit card connected to PayPal can only pay out but cannot receive through the same platform.
