VIDEO: I will not be deterred – Zhuwao on the offensive in indigenisation fight

Youth, Indigenisation and Empowerment minister Patrick Zhuwao has gone on the charm offensive by releasing a video in which he escalates his fight with foreign-owned banks over compliance.

In the the three minutes 26 seconds Zhuwao Brief he speaks of his mandate as having been a challenge set for him by President Robert Mugabe.

Zhuwao also accused banks of shortchanging youths by not giving loans due to them.

The video is the latest in a public tiff he has been having with Finance and Economic Development minister Patrick Chinamasa. Chinamasa insists international banks are compliant. The spat has raised the ire of the Zimbabwe social media zeitgeist with some questioning Zhuwao’s actions saying that they scared foreign direct investment off.
