RBZ lifts ban on lending services by banks

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) sure has been communicating a lot these days folks.

Yep, we get some sort of communication from the Apex bank daily it seems, after going for long periods without as much as a sneeze from them.

Well, the latest communication, out Tuesday morning is that it has lifted is suspension on lending by banks with immediate effect.

This is for eeverybody, except entities which have been flagged by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) for ‘abusing the loan facility to the detriment of the economy.’

It says all banks have been notified accordingly by the FIU.

The lending ban is weird because then what else do banks do?

Also now that it has been shown that a suspension can happen anytime, expect a whole lot of borrowing folks.
