Air Zimbabwe dismisses rumour it is trading only in USD cash

Air Zimbabwe has said it is not asking people to pay in US dollar cash for bookings.

On its Twitter account, the airline said:


***PAYMENT FOR FLIGHT BOOKINGS ON AIR ZIMBABWE***

Air Zimbabwe would like to advise that it has not published the statement currently in circulation on social media platforms regarding exclusive foreign currency transactions.

The Airline continues to trade in accordance with approved regulations in line with the multi-currency regime However, we are in continuous engagement with Shareholder and RBZ as regards current economic situation with a view to establish a sustainable position for our operation.

Likewise, any further developments or changes will be communicated accordingly. We remain committed to serve
