X, formerly Twitter, will remove the ability to block people

Not sure who this helps, but X (formerly Twitter) will remove the ability to block people on its app.

It is the latest move from the owner Elon Musk and he continues to change the platform.

It is not clear whether he will move this function to the premium version, or it will be death of it altogether.

Blocking DMs will be allowed.

The ability to block has been useful for people who want to avoid harassments and the like and it seems as if that safety feature is now seen as unnecessary by Musk.

He does say you will still able to mute users though. Mute means you will not see what people you do not like post, but they will have access to your content.

But here is the thing.

Apple and Google require that each app which has user-generated content must have a block feature.

So, that could get weird.
