WhatsApp introduces Communities feature and it is pretty decent

WhatsApp has been rolling out a bunch of updates over the last couple of months, and the latest is a Communities feature.

As we said before the mobile messaging behemoth was looking at increasing the number of users in a group to 1,024.

Well that is one of the things.

There will be bigger group video calls and in-chat polls.

You can also send an alert to thousands, which would be great for schools churches, or our cricket and book club groups.

Add to this, 32 people in a group video call and you are good to go.

It is still far behind services such Telegram and Discord which allow hundreds of thousands in groups. It allows communities to connect more and perhaps develop things such as channels. It means more content distribution options on a platform which is the biggest for messaging in the world.
