Whatsapp’s Chief Executive has told a conference that the messaging application is now bigger than twitter and carries more messages than Facebook.
Without releasing a figure on how many people are on Whatsapp, Jan Koum did say that it carried more than 20 billion messages per day which is double what Facebook does.
Remarkable mind-boggling figures if you ask us. It really should not be surprising given the ease of use that it has. The fact that it works pretty much like your text messaging without the heavy overhead makes it a hit. Also add that there are no advertising on the platform – Kloum says they will not go that route. We hate adverts. Even the ones that sneak up you on Twitter.
