The clocks have changed in Europe and this is what it means for you in Zimbabwe

So twice a year the clocks change in Europe based on what is called Daylight Saving Time.

And on the last Sunday of October the UK for example changes to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT to some of you) from what is called British Summer Time (Yes that the BST means at the end of time). We call that the clock going backwards.

So what that means is that 24 hours ago, the time difference between Central African Time (Zimbabwe and a bunch of friends) was one hour. Well it goes to two hours.

Why does this matter?

Well for business, it means that you will have to schedule payments and meetings differently.

And for sports lovers, that means Premier League matches are starting an hour later. And because the rest of Europe is making that change too, you will need to change the time your Uefa Champions League matches start.

And finally, for your loved ones, well, if they are Zimbabwean, you know they will get in touch with you anytime anyway.

When do they go forward again? Last Sunday of March.
