Taking a break from Facebook can make you happier

A study has shown that regular users who take a week-long break from Facebook tend to be happier.

Facebook has been experiencing breaches

The Danish study assigned Facebook users to either using it regularly for a week or going completely off it.

Heavy users tended to report a better sense of wellbeing than light users.

The study confirmed previous ones which said use of the social media site induced feelings of envy and dissatisfaction because users compared their lives with others.

That said they were told what to expect which meant their reporting back expectations.

We have noticed the same trend on Zimbabwe social media where users at present, with a load of negative comments. An oddity is when people post positive comments are there are negative responses from some who feel the flaunting in a time when the economy is bad is uncalled for.
