It’s not just you. Facebook has been throwing up all over everyone’s newsfeed

Facebook users have been experiencing an unpleasant wad of stuff after it started flooding their newsfeeds with random spam posts from strangers sharing content on celebrity pages.

The bizarre bug has seen posts of  memes, pornography and cryptocurrency spam.

They have mostly targeted celebrity pages with large followings to spam newsfeeds.

The issue was detected Wednesday morning.

Facebook said it was aware of the problem and working to get rid of it.

The technical glitch may be down to changes made to the algorithm, according to MailOnline, quoting an official from Meta.
