Econet Finally Reconnects Telecel

The impasse between mobile operators Econet and Telecel is over.

Calls can now be made between the two networks after Telecel renewed its license this week. That it took a full two days for it to happen was a bit annoying but it is back to business as usual.

Econet unilaterally disconnected Telecel three weeks ago in what many saw as a public relations gaffe.

Econet is the biggest mobile network by subscribers. Telecel has been eating into that market share
