Africom Offers Free WhatsApp With Its WiFi Product

WiFi is the name of the game right now and Africom want a bit of that action.

The pricing is interesting.

50c for 35MB,  $1 for 70MB, $3 for 225MB then $6 for 6GB. The last bit interests us.

And then to top it all off. They say you get Free WhatsApp access when you log onto their WiFi.

Where it is found is also curious because they have targeted highly populated areas and gated communities.

The areas where it is currently available are:

Africom Shops:

Stanley House, along Jason Moyo Avenue
Club Chambers, along Nelson Mandela Avenue
Shop 3-4, Long Chen Plaza, along Samora Machel, Belvedere
Africom Mutare Shop, Plumpton Chambers, Herbert Chitepo
Avondale Shops

Other Areas:

Belgravia Sports Club, Sam Nujoma Extension
Chapman Golf Club, along Samora Machel, after Waterwhirld
Africa Unity Square, between Sam Nujoma & Third Street
Paddy’s Restaurant, Newlands Shops
Megawatt Flats, Cnr Fourth Street and Josiah Tongogara
Montagu flats, Cnr Harare St and J. Chinamano
Spencer Cook Gardens, Cnr Leopold Takawira and Josiah Tongogara
Highglen Shopping Mall
Roma Court , Fife Avenue
Cappillano Court, Along Baines Ave
Hilton Court, along Josiah Tongogara Avenue
Chinamano Heights, Cnr Prince Edward & Josiah Chinamano
Charingira Court, Cnr Leopold Takawira & Josiah Tongogara Avenue
Belgravia Sports Club, along Sam Nujoma Extension
Kamuchinda flats, Corner Fourth Street & Herbet Chitepo
The Place Restaurant, NSSA Building, along Sam Nujoma
Spencer Cook, Cnr Leopold Takawira & Josiah Tongogara Avenue

Should get things in the mix proper with more paid-for WiFi services available.

Always good to have options.

Mind you, someone needs to go after Bulawayo. So little public WiFi access there.
