Zimbabwe’s first ever Formula Two racer Axcil Jefferies has failed to land sponsorship fore the 2013 season.
Said the 18 year-old on his twitter:
Really disappointed for Zimbabwe and myself, as we have not been able to secure sponsorship to compete this year.

This will come as a blow for Jefferies who was hoping top push on this year after a promising debut last season where he was consistently in the top 10. He finished 12th after 16 races in the 23-man field where he was the youngest competitor.
The young man did add: We will keep fighting, God willing something will happen..
What we find astounding is how corporates are not looking at this as a fantastic opportunity to step in and help this young man keep the Zimbabwe flag flying. We are talking about the second African to ever compete in the F2 championships so this is not a silly nannies situation.
Come on Zimbabwe, we are better than this. Let’s hope something happens fast.
