Reports from South Africa confirm that Zimbabwe youth international soccer striker Trevor Mutero is in South Africa for trials at Bidvest Wits.
Mutero was said to be confident of making the grade at the Johannesburg-based side.Sources say former Zimbabwe central defender Alexander Maseko is behind the move.
18-year-old Mutero left Zimbabwe to settle in England in 2004, after the death of his father, and was until recently on the books of English Championship side Reading. At some point the young striker have tried get Kaizer Chiefs to sign him onto their books.
Wits coach Roger de Sa could not immediately be reached for comment but we say to Trevor all the best.
