Scottish giants Celtic have signed Zimbabwean starlet Kundai Benyu from Ipswich Town.
The four-year deal will see Benyu, 19, don the green and white from 1 July 2017.
He will join Brendan Rodgers’ treble winners on their Austria tour and holds the prospect of Champions League football this season.
Speaking to the Celtic website on his signing, Benyu said he was ‘delighted’ to be joining ‘one of the world’s truly great clubs’. He acknowledged there was a lot of hard work but was ready to develop under Rodgers.
Benyu has expressed interest in representing Zimbabwe at senior level.
