Barely a month after the death of her husband, Zimbabwe Women assistant coach Sinikiwe ‘Sneazy’ Mpofu has died.

She collapsed and passed away on Saturday morning.

Mpofu was also assistant coach for the Under-19 Women’s team.

She played for Zimbabwe as an opening batter, and became the first women’s national team player to transition from a player to a coach.

A month ago, her husband Shepherd Mukunura, himself a specialist coach in the Zimbabwe men’s team setup passed away after a long illness.

Mpofu was 37.

This is a developing story.
